Meeting Night + The 2026 Royal Easter Show! 🎡 Ferris wheel Emoji

April is shaping up to be a busy month for the Society, and there are two great ways to get involved:

  1. Monthly Meeting:  Tuesday, 7th April, 2026
    Venue:  Ermington Community Centre

Join us at out usual time (7:30 pm for 8:00 pm) for a fascinating presentation by our Secretary and Editor, Paul Henry. Paul will be sharing insights into his work with Bourke Parrots, specifically focusing on his new mutation that he is calling his:

    Yellow Enhanced Opaline Mutation

Paul Henry is a Life Member and dedicated long-term contributor to the Avicultural Society of NSW. He currently serves as the society's Secretary and is the Editor of our bi-monthly magazine, The Avicultural Review.

An experienced breeder with a deep passion for Australian parrots, Paul has spent years researching and documenting the complex genetics of color mutations. He is particularly well-known for his work with Bourke Parrots (Neopsephotus bourkii), where he has focused on identifying and stabilising unique variations.

At our April Gathering, Paul will provide an exclusive look into his latest achievement: the "Yellow Enhanced Opaline" mutation.

(Please Note:  There will be no sales table at this month's meeting.)
  2. The Sydney Royal Easter Show (2nd - 13th April, 2026)

Beyond our meeting, the Society will be out in force at the Showgrounds!
