Allen FishIt was with sincere sadness the day we reported the passing of Allen Fish at the age of 72 years on Thursday 8th March 2012 after a long battle with cancer.

Allen served for four years as the Society's President and did a wonderful job for us.  His "hands on" approach and enthusiastic attitude kept our Society at a very successful level and members were very appreciative of his work.

He was instrumental in the birth of our website in 1999 and was a great encourager to Janet Macpherson and his wife Nancy as they spent many hours on the telephone working together to put our first pages up on the web.

Members will always remember the 10 annual weekend bus trips away that Allen organised for the club along with many other contributions towards the ongoing running of the Society alongside Nancy. His love of aviculture began at an early age and in later years saw him produce some very beautiful Indian Ringneck mutations.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to his loving wife Nancy, their children Julie-Anne and Allen and their families.

A funeral service was held for Allen at 10:30am on Wednesday 14th March 2012 in the West Chapel at Woronora Cemetery.
